How to create an Advanced Ingredient

For those times when regular measures and dimensions just aren't enough.

After loading the data, edit a column of data. Pick a column that relates to the grouping you want to create (e.g., pick a dimension to create a dimension Advanced Column, or a metric to create a metric Advanced Ingredient). By clicking on the “…" menu in the upper right of the column editor you can select select “Duplicate as Advanced” which will make a special type of column called an Advanced Column.

After you create it, rename it to something meaningful by clicking on the name and typing your label.

Pro Tip: Set the ingredient icon by clicking on icon next to the new label and replace it with something meaningful.
